Spell Alerter - Alerts you to Enemy Spellcasts, Enemy Buffs, and Friendly Debuffs you can add custom spells/abilities to watch for - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/spell-alerter.aspx

Gladius- Alerts you to trinket use both friendly and enemy, announces when trinkets are off cd, also alerts to enemies attempting to drink/eat or rez players and displays enemy unit frames - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/gladius.aspx

Lose Control - CC Duration Timers displays the duration and which cc is on you in an easy to see icon with counter- http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/losecontrol.aspx

Healers Have To Die - Places a big old red X a top enemy healers heads. Good for tracking their movement when attempting to cc or when in crowded areas where you may miss healing spell effects. - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/healers-have-to-die.aspx

Interrupt Bar- Shows CD's for enemy interrupts. Important for casters. - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/interruptbar.aspx

Miirkat Druid Portrait Icons - Changes Druid (friendly and enemy) portraits to the icon for the form they are in, works with all forms. - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/miirkat_druidportraiticons.aspx

Necrotic Track - Tracks NS absorption amounts, good for healers and DKs as it works on both enemy and friendly players. - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/necrotictrack.aspx

Not an addon however, Leatrix Latency Fix can help reduce latency issues. You can find it here:
http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info13581-LeatrixLatencyFix.html

Specifically for RBG's -
Obviously Healers Have to Die is important and was mentioned above.

BG Defender - Allows you to announce incoming enemies to a base or if/when a base is safe. If you rbg without a mic available it is a good idea to have this addon or the one below to call for help quickly. - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/bg-defender.aspx

AlarBGHelper - Same thing but a little better as it can give specifics as to where flag carriers are and whether an incoming group is small or large, as well as announce stats you need to win (We need 4 bases to win etc) and displays timers. - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/alar-bghelper.aspx

WPvP-
Vana KOS - Tracks wpvp encounters notifies you of nearby KOS targets and allows you to make kill on site lists to share with friends/guild. - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/vanas-kos.aspx

Spy - Alerts you to nearby enemy players. - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/spy.aspx

hey, do you know of any addons or ways to change the raid frame to make it easier to heal in bg's? i can never tell who's in front of me and it's too hard to click on them as they run around like friggin' spyder monkeys. something that would allow me to tab between friendlies would be awesome. haven't done much with healing in bg's so i need practice.

I prefer Grid. Though lately I've been playing with ElvUI which is a complete UI addon basically just altering the default Blizzard one making it cleaner and neater, it has some built in pvp components as well as built in raid frames which are neat.

Not sure how you heal, do you target on raid frames manually then use keybinded spells, or use something like Clique which allows you to bind spells to your mouse buttons or use them for modifiers, or are you using mouse over macros that cast heals when you hover on the raid frames?

If enough people want it I can make a healing add on section, in the meantime if you look on Tankspot, their priest Aliena has a great tutorial on Grid and Clique and how to set them up. Grid is so customizable you can get it to tell you just about anything and make it look however you want. It has some mini addons that work with it you will definitely want Grid Mana Bars. For while I was rolling with a hot pink grid frame on my pally lol. I also like it because I prefer small raid frames that keep my screen uncluttered and Grid can be set up to be very small and clean.

Vuhdo is also an option, again highly customizable and maybe not quite as complicated because it doesnt require the additional components Grid does, it also doesn't(last i knew) allow you to target players like Grid does, only heal on mouse over/click which is why I prefer Grid. If you use something like the Razer Naga Mouse with the 12 side buttons this is a better option.

i just noticed how sad the grid raid frames look in the example on Curse, don't jusge them by that, person who set those up totally lazied out and left them ugly. When my husband finishes raiding I'll post a screen shot of my grid raid frames so you can see how pretty and neat they can be!

hey thanks, i think i'll try out Grid and see how it goes. all my spells are keybind and i move with my mouse. which is why it's hard to click on ppl, can't click and run at the same time, i'm not that coordinated. Smile
